*This class is geared towards adults but is suitable for 16+ with a parent in attendance*

Whether you’re a paparazzi or can’t figure out your camera or phone, join expert photographer Bob Krugmire for hands-on instruction that will teach you to maximize the potential of your camera! Journey through each exhibit to uncover the fascinating species that use powerful toxins to outsmart predators, capture unsuspecting prey, and survive in some of the world's harshest environments.

Sip on some brews and experience Butterfly Pavilion after hours as you explore our exhibits in a whole new light. Whether you’re fascinated by eight-legged wonders, excited to explore our tropical butterfly paradise at night, or just looking for a unique Halloween outing, Bugs & Brews: Toxic Terrors offers the perfect mix of spooky fun, science, and socializing. Come raise a glass and see Butterfly Pavilion in a whole new light.

Experience a rejuvenating yoga class in our tropical rainforest. Led by one of our rotating instructors, classes provide an amazing opportunity to transcend the hustle and bustle of daily life as you practice amongst the butterflies in our conservatory.

Due to this program being in high demand no refunds or date change requests can be made for this program. All tickets are final purchase. Please note:

Ever wondered what that pretty yellow flower was on your daily walk? Or heard a lazy buzzing sound and wondered if it was a bumblebee? Spend a morning learning about the incredible creatures that live all around us at a free bioblitz event with City of Lafayette! Bring out your inner naturalist as we document and observe the plants and animals at an important natural area - Kneebone Open Space. All the information we collect through this bioblitz will be used by staff to foster healthy habitat at this space and others like it. This event is open to all, no experience required. Come prepared with weather appropriate clothing, water, and the iNaturalist app (free!). All other monitoring equipment will be provided.
